Star Trek Today
Operation: Annihilate!
Mass insanity plauges Deneva, and Kirk's brother and sister-in-law are killed by the beings that cause it. Spock is also infected, but luckily McCoy figures out how to undo the infection before Spock goes insane too. Unluckily, the treatment involves bright light that blinds Spock. McCoy figures out that you only need UV to undo the infection, the population of Deneva is cured, and Spock's eyesight is saved by a convenient Vulcan inner eyelid.

A New Man
A neglected Giles gets turned into a Fyarl demon, and has to pay Spike 200 dollars to get anyone to help him out. Spike smashes Giles' car, Buffy stabs Giles by accident, and Ethan Rayne ends up imprisoned in Area 51.

Buffy joins the Initative, and asks so many questions that Professor Walsh tries to kill her. Riley believes that Buffy's dead for about two seconds, but luckily Buffy chooses that moment to call Professor Walsh and tell her that her murder plan sucked. Spike gets shot with a tracer and pays Giles to remove it before the Initiative can find it. And Willow spends the night with Tara... doing what now?

News Today And Some From Yesterday
There is a new interview with Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman on startrek.com about writing movies, if anyone wants to hear them blather for two pages.
In a touching speech, Gene Roddenberry was inducted into the Sci-Fi Hall of Fame in Seattle last weekend.
According to trekweb, William Shatner is out of the new movie plans. Everyone breathe! A sigh! Of! Relief!
Memory Alpha reached 25000 articles yesterday, congrats to everyone who contributed.
Rene Auborjonois will no longer be seen on Boston Legal, although he may return for guest roles here and there.

Today on Buffy: The Vampire Slayer
Something Blue
Buffy decides to marry Spike, Giles goes blind, Xander gets chased by a horde of demons, and it's all Willow's fault.
Hush
No one in Sunnydale can speak, so they all buy dry erase boards. Buffy and Riley figure out each other's identities. An akward scene ensues.
Doomed
The akward scene resumes. Buffy decides not to date Riley, but then she changes her mind.

The Best of Both Worlds I
Today's Star Trek episode was "The Best of Both Worlds I", which always makes me think of summer vacation. Or, more specifically, the summer I turned seven and spent the entire summer obsessing over what happened after Riker said, "Mr. Worf, Fire." Which if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you now.
In nerdy news today, a new star trek fanfic event began yesterday. All information is on this website, and I have yet to decide if I will be participating or not. I'm leaning toward yes.
In an attempt to drive me insane, a poll has been started on one of the Star Trek boards to determine who was the best piece of meat on the NX-01. Seriously.
